AviaTIon Park & Pavilion                                      NOW OPEN

The Chennault Aviation and Military Museum has begun building an outdoor pavilion, display, and park showcasing seven restored military aircraft and more to tell our incredible story of aviation history and heritage. The Chennault Aviation Park will soon offer visitors a modern-day out-door facility with paved walk ways, covered pavilions, and restored military aircraft.

TO BE RESTORED:

WWII Navigation Trainer: Monroe was home to the Selman Field WWII Air Navigation Schools. The program graduated 15,000 navigators and 1,500 pre-flight cadets, most of whom used trainers like these.

DC-3: The DC-3 aircraft was a mainstay aerial transport for the British and American forces during WWII, used as troop transport, glider towing, and as a general-purpose freighter key to Allied victory in WWII. It was also pride of the fleet in the early days of Delta Airlines.
